Gilly can sidepass

Whoppee! It's January and I'm riding. Having the arena is awesome. It was anther warm day - mid 30s. After barn clean up and a new bale of hay, it was in the arena with Banjo. I picked up all four feet. But it took about an hour, I had to back him to kingdom come in order to get him to hold still.
After that major accomplishment, I brought Gilly in, slipped his bridle on and mounted him bareback from the mounting block on his far side. Coming around a corner we were going sideways. I hadn't asked for a sidepass or did I? The next round I did what I thought you should do to ask for a sidepass and I got it. Pretty cool.

Hi, came across your blog searching for Gary Goldbeck. Read with interest your trials with the horse that you chose to put down. That must have been very difficult for you.
I happened across this site while looking for horse training videos, and watched a demo that reminded me of your horse. If you go to Horse.com and click on TRAINING LIBRARY on the right, and then on CLICK TO BROWSE LIBRARY, and then on SAMPLE GALLERY on the left, and then finally on GENERAL HORSEMANSHIP three down on the left, it might be of interest to you.
Good luck with your new horses. I'm looking to purchase one myself at this time and have a couple of interesting prospects.
