Who me? A grandma?

Baby Girl Sonogram

Yes, it's true and it's a girl. So skip the horses today.

Shopping was fun -- and not just the day after Thanksgiving Christmas shopping before the doctor's appointment.

Lisa invited me to join her and Brian to see Baby's sonogram and determine the sex. Baby is not due until May but I feel as though I know what she (not sure of name yet) looks like. We saw the heart valves opening, baby moving and could clearly see the baby's profile.

Afterwards we had lunch and bought pink booties, pink sleepers and other pink outfits. First grandchild is going to be spoiled.

Crutch free!

corn crop

Today was my last session with physical therapist, Mary Ellen. I'm celebrating because I gave up my last crutch. The water aerobics played a big part in getting my mobility back. By the second week of swimming, I was able to give up one crutch. But it seemed like forever getting off the second.

I still have some pain and I'm not able to stand on my bad leg for a very long time, but this is progress. Especially since I found that not only did I fracture my pelvis, but also my tailbone. That would explain the sitting soreness.

Gone swimming

cherry tree in yellow color

I’ve joined the Parks and Recreation Water Aerobics class! Tonight was the first session. Three of my golf buddies are doing this. Mary Ellen thought it would be good therapy and it was. It felt good to stretch my limbs and get some really good exercise.

PT with Mary

fall colors

Today was my third visit to Mary Ellen, my Physical Therapist. She is the sister of someone I work with (small world) and very friendly and effective. It was a very good day because I am finally able to get around on one crutch! This means I can ditch the basket.
