Night time jailbreak

5 renegades

We had an adventure last night. At 10:00 pm Arty and Vicki came knocking at our door to let us know their 6 horses had made a break and were traveling about the neighborhood. 5 were in our back 40 and the 6th was last seen on the road separated from the rest. They were quite worried.

Our horses were spooked and running about, but after about an hour we had them corralled in the barnyard. The 5 renegades sensed our pasture was a safe place and eagerly came in when we opened our outer gate. It didn't take long to coral them in the arena where we left them for the night. The 6th horse, Thunder, being older and less adventuresome, came home of his own accord.Loading two

It took 3 trips this morning to load the horses into the trailer and get them home. Everyone was safe. Now all Arty has to do is fix the latch so they can't open the gate again.Three left to load

Too much

I picked up a respiratory flu bug (was it swine flu?) in the hospital and spent most of last week in bed. Kylie and her Mom are doing well, but I haven't been able to see them since she was born. We've given up on fixing up the barnyard area for now. Too much going on.

I'm a Grandma!

Kylie Brynne with MomWow - so many emotions. My daughter is a mom. I'm a Grandmother. Kylie is beautiful. And I was there through the whole 27 1/2 hour ordeal, along with Kylie's dad, Brian. Looking forward to my bed and a solid night of sleep.
