Other Beaches ...

The Coco Head Cliffs were breathtaking. Watching the kids dive from the ledge scared me to death. We saw a memorial plaque dedicated to a diver who died here. I believe 17 have died, not so much from diving in, but from falling while climbing back up.

Getting to this place is not easy. If you are heading E toward Hanauma Bay on H1, turn R on Nowiliwili. L on Paipu. L. on Lumahai Street to the end. The beginning of the trail is hard to see marked only by a very small sign. It is across from the house at #5 (white brick fence with black iron gate). The trail goes between the homes and is a little steep.
